Lake Bled and its island with a church, with Bled Castle as the backdrop and the view of the mighty Julian Aps with Slovenia’s highest mountain, Mt Triglav – this is certainly one of the most photographed subjects in Slovenia. In Lake Bled, you can be mobile, even if you don’t have your car: there is transportation from the railway station to your accommodation, a ski bus to the Vogel and Krvavec Ski Centres, you can hire an (electric) bike, take a ride in traditional pletna boats, a tourist train or a fijaker carriage around the lake. It also boasts no fewer than three accommodation providers with EU Ecolabel.
